I was thinking Johnson might have got away with it, given that enough people think he's an idiot to be ultra careful, Not sure now.
Considering a large number of the population won’t be tracing or taking tests unlike two weeks ago because “I’ve deleted the app    “ brigade seem to be in fine voice.

I think the last thing we want to see is numbers to rise, new variants to appeal, deaths to increase and more restrictions come the winter.

But selfishness seems the common currency here.

Saw a vox pop with students this evening. One said she wouldn't be having the vaccine 'because it's still experimental'.

4.25 billion doses administered...

I genuinely don't think they have a clue how many people have got it. Not even a rough estimate.

Regarding Florida, here is a quick glimpse of some of the anti-Fauci merchandise current GOP Governor Ron DeSantis is currently selling via his online store.......

Cases above 30k. Baking deaths in. Not very good really. But given Javid's 100k prediction (was that genuine?) It looks like a masterstroke.

There's some minor entertainment value in asking them their preferred testing protocol. For people who've "done the research" their knowledge seems a little shallow

In other words she’s joined the Control Group.

Apparently it came up a lot in regards to discussion about it back before the term ended.

I’ll be using my hybrid working to maximum effect.

88.7% of UK adults have had a vaccine now. I did predict an end game target of 92% which may still happen. I don't think it's worth giving airtime to people who don't want it. If you take into account out of the current remaining 11.3% then a fair amount of them will fall into two categories. Medically advised not to, being one. The other is people who lead utterly chaotic lives. The latter shouldn't be underestimated. Through my working life in various jobs, you wonder how some people function. They have their senses, but zero organisation skills in life.

88.7% at the minute is excellent, I think.

A lot of the 18+ young cohort are still in the 8 week delay between 1st and second vaccination.
Expect 88.7% to rise a little.

I waited til 12 weeks which is next Thursday, I’m not a vaccine skeptic just a Johnson and Javid skeptic.

Did note a report by Birmingham University that if you go the full 12 weeks on Pfizer it’s even better.

I've just been pinged - isolation until midnight on Tuesday. I'm off work until Wednesday anyway. Bugger.

Are you off work on pre-booked leave, until Wednesday? If so, it may be worth enquiring if you can claim that back, and take at a later date.

A lot of workplaces are doing things regarding leave "on the hoof" at the minute. There's no common theme with any, from what I can tell. You won't be in a worse position after asking, as it's not your fault.

The brother of the woman who is here for the weekend. He was pinged yesterday morning...while packing up the car to go to the Schwarzwald for a fortnight with the family. Poor souls - ten days in strict lockdown.

No, it's my shift pattern for the week.
