Who knows where we’ll be 5 or 10 years from now?
England will be begging for consensual stability and Ed Davey becomes PM. A shitty remake of Borgen so dull Scandinavians fall asleep.

Standard right wing, light governance, low tax, freeze peach, soldier rimmers.
I accidentally disliked this.

I think if you click on your accidental dislike again it'll remove it

Yes George Keir going on about Preston would have been a proven vote winner for Labour.

I read a few local government types on Twitter and never seen anybody mention Preston.
Did the council want to know the bus station down? I know Ed Vaizey, a Tory in the right job, listed it, fairly controversially.

Extensive local government expertise from the Brains Trust BTL, I see.
Given that Labour held a lot of these council seats anyway, wouldn't there be a rather obvious question to "vote for us, we'll make you great like Preston"

Admittedly, this bloke is a Lib Dem, but he's a councillor (in Stockport). So I'll give him more credence than people saying he didn't mention it because it would give credence to Corbyn.

Reshuffle on the way? Wouldn't she just have moved if that was the case?

Whatever, it'll be seen as a start of a purge of the Left, by the Left.
Does Labour have Interchangeable Emmas?

From the Beeb at
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57037839
Leader Sir Keir Starmer is expected to reshuffle his frontbench team in the next few days. Ms Rayner will remain deputy leader of the party as it is a position directly elected by the party members.
But Labour's former shadow chancellor John McDonnell said the decision to sack Ms Rayner was a "cowardly avoidance of responsibility" and accused Sir Keir of "scapegoating everyone apart from himself".

This seems like a bad decision, unless there’s some other reason we don’t know about.

Seems she’s getting another senior shadow cabinet role. Shadow Chancellor?

The award for "a post that is an example of litotes" goes to Crabs unless, as Crabs sez, there's something we don't know about.
Looking at the post that's just appeared, there was talk a day or two ago about replacing Anneliese Dodds?
