Doesn’t he like Western consumer culture choice anymore? the free market in ideas available on a supermarket shelf near you.

I wonder how deciding how bad murders are based on the aesthetic choices of the murderers suits in the whole "moral relativism" thing.

Being a democracy doesn't stop anybody committing war crimes anyway. Does Netanyahu see himself as a constitutional liberal? I'd be surprised.

Tim here with an argument so shit that Toby Young would think twice about it. Why stop there on the "slippery slope", Tim? Why not go with "ministers to make their own shoes from cardboard"?

I think we had this discussion a while ago, and concluded that a "don't take the piss" code of conduct would be quite easy to draw up.
Hold onto job you had before you were elected? Fine.
Take up new job that face it, you wouldn't be offered if you weren't an MP? Piss off. Or answer a series of random questions about the industry or sector you've just landed this plum job in.
Hospitality from party or ministry funds. Otherwise, your pocket.
And so on.

Given he's no longer on the GBeebies payroll, I think this might be the place for this headline...
Sacked GB News host Calvin Robinson raises £30,000 to ‘keep a roof over his head’ while enjoying Disney Land Florida trip
Calvin Robinson, 37, was enjoying the Disney World trip a week after he was fired from GB News
...seems in terms of his "missionary" work he's only a few rungs below on the ladder of going full-blown 'murican televangelist in demanding that his "congregation" buy him a private aeroplane in the future. Also, I thought Disney World was one of the wokiest places on Earth? So why does it look like he's enjoying himself there?

He's just looking happy to fit in, but in reality he's investigating sinister agendas and you can hear all about on his new patreon podcast for just £9.99 a week.
Probably.
A fun side note. Wannabe arch-enemy of Disney and general culture war shithouse Ron DeSantis had his wedding at Disneyworld.

Are there any freelance independent lefties who can make a crust via social media donations? Maybe Owen Jones as he has an established profile but even Russell Brand had to branch out to ‘asking questions’ before descending down the alt right rabbit hole.

Leftie types tend not to drift early, often and hard into the kind of hateful conduct, conspiratorial thinking, genocide advocacy and/or denial, and other general fuckwittery that leads to right wing voices getting "silenced by the woke mob*". As such, they're usually grand with the normal commercial rates paid by YouTube et al. I sometimes think the right wing ones are racing to get fucked off major platforms to build the "brand" and get the money filtered through friendlier operators and, of course, to have multiple tiny streams of income that are easier to hide than the monthly drop from YouTube or whatever
*Getting their ad money pulled for violating EULA/TOS policies they agreed to abide by on sign-up

I think it's not so much a question of left and right, as it is moderate and extreme. The "hateful conduct, conspiratorial thinking.....and other general fuckwittery" is common to both, and is a common feature of people caught in the process of radicalisation - a rejection of the mainstream (which they see as having rejected them) and embracing of any ideology that gives them meaning and a sense of belonging (or at least excluding others).

America's not short of people who do what Father Calvin does. Maybe his English accent will swing it, like it does for Steve Hilton, but it may well not.
"Who are you? A pastor, right?"
"Yeah!"
"We get a thousand in our church every week. What about you?"
"Um, er..."
"But you were on tv too?"
"Yeah, on the channel they call the British Fox News"
"I'm impressed. How many watched you?"
"Um, er."

I am instantly and automatically suspicious of any joker that styles him/herself “pastor”.
More prevalent in the USA than in the UK, but you get my drift. Hold onto your cash.

Over here, "Pastor" generally has a fair-to-middling chance of meaning "I used to quite like shooting Catholics"
