Rumours abound that a German man was seen weaving through the minefield at 5am to lay down a towel on a sunlounger.

+++ BAVARIAN UPDATE +++
Our friend in Regensburg received a Ukrainian family last evening. It's early days but things are apparently going swimmingly.
I only wish we had the space to be able to share in this enormous privilege.

Almost 89,000 people have offered homes to Ukrainian refugees in the first hours of a government scheme that allows families and individuals to bring them to the UK.
The website for registering interest in the scheme crashed for a short while because of the numbers offering homes. By 9am on Tuesday, 88,712 had joined the scheme.

Let's say that 1-in-4 visitors signed up. That's 356,000 total visits or, in server-speak, not a helluva lot.
The only reason for that server to fall over is a woeful under-provisioning of capacity. And, the only reason for that is that traffic far exceeded the expectations of the xenophobic cunts who commissioned it.

Ukrainian soldiers shouted "God save the Queen!" when they firedweaponry given to the country by the UK, The Sunday Times of London reported, citing an anecdote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told.
It's one of several lighthearted details described in the paper's report on the calls between Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in which they discussed the UK sending weapons to Ukraine to defend against Russia.
As of March 9 the UK had sent 3,615 anti-tank weapons known as NLAWs — next-generation light anti-tank weapons — to assist Ukraine, Sky News reported, citing UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.

Er, Obie. Defender's ability to launch a counter -offensive doesn't rely on attackers doing badly.
See Ardennes December 1944 for details.
