I preferred the Johnny Mercer that wrote catchy tunes in the 1930s: not this pile of rancid shit.

I don't recognise that country either. It's certainly not the one where I did my stint in the Scouts and, even less so, is it all the fault of trans, woke, Polish Muslims.

Philippa Stroud is a long-time wingnut welfare non-jobber. She was CEO at Legatum for 6 years, now something called "Alliance for Responsible Citizenship. As Roland Smith says BTL, if her movement is relying on Peterson, Danny Kruger and Paul Marshall (main funder of GB News), no wonder it's struggling.

"Declinism" isn't only a British thing by any means, but Brexit surely adds a particularly British twist. The peope who voted for it feel let down, and the younger people who should be leading the dynamic optimism hate it.

Interesting theory. Though I reckon this isn't quite "EU judges won't let us kick out rapist".

Christ. Have we all missed this? I can't see it anywhere.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... -deputy-pm
It follows reports in the Mail on Sunday that allegations of multiple sexual offences, including rape, had been made against the MP but were not dealt with properly by the party, allowing the politician to continue offending after the alarm was raised.

The former Tory chairman Jake Berry, who was in post from September to October 2022, sent a letter to the police in which he revealed that a number of allegations about an MP had been made known to the party, but only limited action had been taken.
Seems that this isn't Rosindell.

Kuenssberg raised it with Dowden on her programme this morning. Slippery cunt denied all knowledge while claiming to take such allegations “very, very, seriously”. Dodged the question, basically.

Does that mean that Rosindell is in the clear, or is another one being added to a scandalously long list?

Also this. She says there's a criminal investigation underway but that the press has reported allegations in the past. Reckons not too hard to find out who it is.

I think I know who it is, but it took a while.

Rosindell allegations are unrelated, by the look of it.

I'll DM you my suggestion if you want.

I was wondering that, is it Rosindell or is there another one?

Someone already named in the media in connection with sexual misconduct. So not Rosindell, but not a completely new name, if you know what I mean.

So Berry informed the Speakers Office. Hoyle really is the ultimate inaction man.

Are there any male Tory MPs you’d say “he just didn’t seem the type” about?
