British man killed in 'reckless' Georgia shooting

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-60088087
At 02:00 local time (07:00 GMT) on Sunday, officers were called to an apartment block in Clairmont Road in Brookhaven, Atlanta.

Dr Matthew Willson, 31, from Surrey, UK, was found in bed with a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Foreign Office said it was "supporting the family of a British man following his death".

Brookhaven Police said the shooting of Dr Willson, from Chertsey, was "random" and involved the "reckless discharge of firearms".

Fucking broken country...

Amongst the reasons (and I use that word quite, quite loosely) is that the artwork includes nudity.

The eagle-eyed and well read amongst you will note the book's characters are anthropomorphised mice and cats.

Time for another occasional update of the theme of "'murica!"

Firstly, Dominion want to send a message that they won't tolerate being shat on by ruling out making any sort of settlement with Sydney Powell or Rudy Giuliani...

(meanwhile Giuliani is selling signed 9/11 t-shirts for US$911. Classy! - https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/ou ... ar-AAT88GC )

...next, on Planet Tr*mp, have you ever seen such pathetic arse lickers?...

...sure Rand, got any pics?...

...meanwhile in Arizona, "we want to turf out election results we don't like"...

...and just to finish off, just a load of batshittery.

Christ Almighty, what a broken country.

I was always of the opinion that, in the long term, the UK was the more fundamentally fucked out of the two (mostly down to good 'ol Bwexit), but the events of the past twelve months have made me think that the States has a very grim period incoming. Both countries have witnessed a moral collapse and an intellectual collapse across pretty much their entire conservative movements over the past decade or so.

Remember just recently when a Tennessee school board banned "Maus" for all sorts of spurious reasons? Well...

A Pulitzer prize-winning novel about the Holocaust has topped Amazon's best-seller's list after a school board in Tennessee banned it.

The graphic novel Maus: A Survivor's Tale depicts how the author's parents survived Auschwitz during the Holocaust.

Board members voted in favour of banning the novel because it contained swear words and a naked illustration.

But now The Complete Maus, which includes all volumes, is a best-seller.

Other editions are topping Amazon sub-categories, including Comics & Graphic Novels...

Who could ever have predicted that happening?

That's fantastic sand all, but I can't help thinking it's not the kids of people who buy books that will suffer for its absence in schools.

There's a limit to what we can do for families with no books, or those who burn the ones they have.

The American right have switched their attention from the Capitol, to Karens ranting at school board meetings.
And thus the trajectory of the greatest power that ever existed is dialled in.

The Republican winner has set up a snitch line to report teachers.
That million fuckwit movement will lead them back to the Salem trials.
