Apart from the usual populist suspects complaining about MSM bias, the BBC has had to endure six years of criticism from people such as ourselves for promoting false equivalence that elevates lies and fantasy politics onto an equal platform with verifiable facts. And this is what Emily’s lecture is about, bravo

Good to see that Labour's pledging to protect the BBC from the Tory assault.

Fucking hell but they are losing it over a comedian making jokes about a public figure.

Let's frame this precisely as it actually is: One comedian made a sarccy mockery of Truss, on one programme, once. The free speech champions of the Mail lose their minds becuase someone expressed an opinion, indirectly, that 'oh, Truss isn't very impressive'.

How anyone can do anything other than 'ho hum' or 'well... yes?'...

I noticed they were falling back on "While some were amused, many others expressed outrage...". Neither term indicating any sort of quantity/ratio.

Also quite a few people pointing out that if Joe Lycett "belongs" to any channel, it's Channel 4.

First they came for the comedians, and Toby Young didn't speak out, because he was jealous of their likeable nature....

Do we no longer have a "Biased BBC" thread, I couldn't find it.

Anyway, in yet another disgusting example of the BBC's anti-Tory bias they have claimed that the reaction to the mini-budget was caused by the mini-budget.
Privatisation can't come soon enough!
Fortunately, Jacob Rees-Mogg was on hand to correct the record.

Nicky Campbell (Radio 5 live this morning) hosted yet another of his "Tories only" phone in shows.

And I don't mean "Tories only" as a satirical jab.
This is at least he second occasion he's hosted a phone in for "Activists, voters and members only".

No other party has had this p[privilege extended its way.

James O'Brien did the same yesterday on LBC. As Tories are the only ones with any agency at the moment it seems legitimate to find out what they are thinking.

And highly entertaining listening.

IEA being given time by the Beeb. Again.

Taken at face value, unquestioned.

The Skewer, this evening.

Today's leading story on radio (Maybe time to employ more numerate types).
Cost of living has fallen - as inflation "falls" to 10.7%.
Can anybody here see what's wrong with this?

I'm sure a few Mrs Brady types will be taken in.
I can't even bother logging in to contradict this bollocks.

This is the same BBC who for years have been reporting "business announces smaller profit" as "business reports a loss".

Highly probable Sunak will be able to boast having the fastest falling inflation rate in Europe. Due to the economy stagnating.

BBC has suspended (cancelled?) Gary Lineker.
Ian Wright is staying off air in solidarity.

Extending the war on woke to Gary Lineker, Attenborough and Ian Wright is a brave decision, minister. Why not have a dig at Michael Palin, Ken Bruce and Sally Phillips while you’re at it.
