If you remember, Cameron used to say that his favourite history book was the rather old fashioned kid's book "Our Island Story". I think Truss has outdone him, basing her knowledge of agriculture on Ladybird's "Down on the Farm" and the collected works of Beatrix Potter.
Liz’s constituency is five minutes away from me and this is one of the bell ends that obviously votes for her. This isn’t going in the poppy thread as the house looks like that all year round.

I thought those silhouette figures were made as part of a national commemoration. Turns out you can buy them off Amazon.

Probably cheaper than buying them from the RBL website. You'll probably be able to find them on eBay as well.

Typing "soldier silhouette" in eBay got me 416 results.

Some of the results were a bit spurious, like a Full Metal Jacket phone cover but there were 59 results in the Garden and Patio -> Décor section.

Shopping for most anything these days, on many occasions I add the terms "-ebay -amazon" just to give normal retailers a chance.

On point three.
Effie ought to try flying into Sydney without a quarantine booking and with her packed lunch in her hand-luggage.

Phil's dissected the alleged NZ trade deal pretty effectively, take a look.

Scottish Unionist Brexiters are an odd bunch; Want their country absorbed into a centralised state run from another country. But don’t believe in joint enterprise among sovereign nations.

Wasn’t aware Emily Thornberry is shadowing Penny Mourdant. Have I been missing the fun? This trade deal is a win for the Tories as its not about figures and helping British agriculture but feelings. Kith and kin etc.

The Labour Unionists (all 5 of them) are pro-devolution, and regret Brexit. The Tory ones who get more attention are like the Welsh Kippers-Abolish the Assembly people.

This hasn't had much attention.
We signed up to having lots of staff and capital leave the City of London. The ECB hasn't enforced this yet because of Covid.
It is now.

The BoE is concerned its European counterparts are asking for relocations that are not necessary for financial stability in an attempt to poach business from London.
Those sneaky Continentals setting themselves up as a rival to a belligerent Brexit Britain that chose to be a rival. No EU state asked for this.
That may explain Sunak’s decision to dish out state handouts to banks, from the magic money tree.
In fairness, cutting the bank levy makes a bit more sense if corporation tax is going to be raised, as it's planned to. Though I'll believe that when I see it.
Those "Project Fear, where's the City exodus then?" might have been a bit premature.

Nice roll call of goons here. 19 Labour MPs too, including Jez and McDonnell, of course.
