Farage has now threatened to sue Kemi Bad Enoch because she called him a liar. It will never happen but it has kept him at the top of the news agenda for another day.

Another day, another grift. There's no such thing as bad publicity.

The delicious irony here is that, as we all know from the Corbynite experience, membership numbers of political parties are totally irrelevant to what really counts - a party’s level of electoral support. Plus, of course, Reform UK isn’t a real political party at all. It’s a limited company, principal shareholder one Farage, N. Your 25 quid membership sub for Reform UK plc gets you precisely fuck all. You certainly don’t get a vote for party leader. Farage and Tice just decide who that’s going to be - and it’s Farage. Like it or lump it.

Talk about two bald men fighting over a comb.

I don't think those joining up care about any of that. They believe fully in Farage, his world view is their world view and they hand over their £25 in the belief that he'll spend it wisely to achieve the power and influence they crave. It is a mirror image of Trump and his MAGA cult.

I think the slight difference with Trump is that Trump probably gained most of his donations fairly close to the election, Farage is at least 4 years away from an election. Will he keep getting people to keep handing over cash for the next 4 years?

Do you get a shiny badge and a membership card in a wallet?

Questions to which the answer is "Yes."

Absolutely yes. The whole of the right wing media machine is right behind him. The Tories have got a hell of a battle on their hands to keep up with him.

If she's wrong about the membership counter being fake, then I would think it's fairly easy for her to be sued. It either is or it isn't, not going to be a massive amount of discovery, you'd think.

I wouldn't be surprised if Reform had lots of people signing up.

I don't know precisely what Bad Enoch said however I do know that Farage has gone on record claiming that "membership numbers" have increased and that is a lie. The rules governing political party membership are quite specific and, due to the way The Reform Party Ltd. is set up, what Farage calls Reform's members do not meet the definition of "membership" of a political party - for example they don't have voting rights. According to Gov.UK, Reform has two directors - Farage and Tice - who between them have complete control of the company i.e. the subscribers are not members.

Sophie Corcoran's talking a bit of sense. That's how daft the whole thing is.

Adam Brooks is a dick who gets far too much airtime of GB News. He usually talks utter bollocks.

She's partisan. She's defending the Tory leader. If any progressive politician had made a questionable Tweet, she'd be demanding they be strung up with piano wire.

It's as if GBNews isn't a real news outlet.

I know the reason why but it was good to see it said.

I like the fact that the Mail on Sunday are referring to GB News as a 'Right Wing' news channel. I thought the paper didn't like things being referred to as 'Right wing.'.

There still seems to be some considerable ambiguity in media circles about the pronunciation of Kemi’s surname. Speaking as a Scot, to me it is indisputably “Badenoch”, rhyming with “Sad wee Enoch”. There is a whole region of Scotland so named (Badenoch & Strathspey, doncha know.)

I think there is a record of Kemi belligerently correcting some journalist and insisting that her name is pronounced “Baydenoch”, but it seems unconvincing to me.

Frankly, she might as well be Kemi Cuntflap.
