What possessed this pro Putin cock sucker to go there? Stupidity and desperation
It's delightful. Salvini being handed his arse on a fine, Polish majolica platter via the medium of a very public gesture. These populists are so easy to destroy, if only the BBC et al could see them for what they are.

Fizzy pop and Happy Meals dominating the news breaks this evening. Seriously, this is not relevant. It is not of any consequence. Fuck off.

So, if as reported, Johnson secretly tried to broker the Polish MiG deal.... Did nobody think to run it by the Americans first as the jets were going to them initially?

Putin encourages import substitution and factory managers indulge him as to that is what they are doing. But it was all a lie, as Adam Curtis would say. A very Russian story

The production of tractors is something not lost on a child of the Cold War tuning around on his radio listening to what was in the æther.

James Cleverly has been concerned about Russophobia and points out that not all Russians are Putin linked oligarchs.
Perhaps the wealthiest Russian oligarch in London in exile is Mikhail Khodorkovsky who was jailed by Putin for not playing ball. He runs Open Russia which provides free legal advice to anyone with Putin on their back. Money donated to the Tories; None.
Mikhail Khodorkovsky says Russian meddling is happening "directly and indirectly" in Britain - and it must be stopped.
Speaking to Sky News, the former head of oil giant Yukos, who was imprisoned for ten years by Mr Putin's government for tax evasion and theft in a controversial case, said it was "really important to fight this".
He explained: "Putin's clique use money in order to illegally put pressure on the British political system. And this is happening - directly, indirectly, via legal firms, via lobbying businesses, via directly influencing politicians and so on and so forth. https://news.sky.com/story/exiled-russi ... m-12532783
Open Russia today is about bringing together citizens living both inside and outside of Russia, who share the European values of a strong, dynamic, and forward-looking state founded upon effective democratic institutions and the rule of law. Open Russia will enable these citizens to communicate and work together, to make their voices heard, and to mobilise effectively in the cause of common interests and goals. https://khodorkovsky.com/what-is-open-russia/

A small thing, but one I feel is important.
These Russian billionaires all acquired their obscene wealth and power by somehow having the money and influence to acquire Russian state owned entities at fractional prices at the fall of communism. They're criminals, every single one of them There aren't any "good" ones, merely those who's interests might temporarily align with our own.

Indeed, no one wished Russia had an independent police force and judiciary more than Khodorkovsky but not because he reads John Stuart Mill. And I doubt his decision not to smooze and bankroll Tories was a philosophical one. But because its full of Russians he stays clear off.

Doesn't look good tonight, does it?
Putin can't beat Ukraine without carpet bombing maternity units. He is being humiliated by the Massey Ferguson massive, his economy is in tatters, and he will soon be left with only the nuclear option. That, or pull out and there is no signs that the latter is on the cards.
We live not 300m from the defence ministry so we will not even bother packing The Bag and leaving it by the front door. These are troubling times.
Typical, just as Luton edge their way in to the play-offs.

I make no secret of the fact that I am terrified of death: one of the cruellest tricks to be played upon a sentient being is knowing that one day, it all ends.
Yet there is a bit of me that feels that if my death in a nuclear holocaust is certain, I want to be in a position where I can observe the sheer destructive force of Man's most destructive device in operation.

First time for decades I’ve had a nuclear nightmare. A blinding light in the sky and me as Reece Dinsdale; ‘fuck me they’ve gone and done it.’

If you don't laugh, you'll cry:
My Dad showed me The War Game years ago. I was hoping it'd stay a historical artefact.
I had my first ever nuclear nightmare last night, as well. That was a shock.

You’ll be hearing from Patrick Allen telling you to put mattresses against the window.
For once they would be welcome
