That's not opinion, that's geography.
Geography?

Next you'll be telling me that Great Britain sits on the European continental shelf and is therefore part of Europe.

Who knows where that sort of dangerous thinking could lead?

Doesn't Aisha Gani realise that Trevor Noah is a South African so he can't possibly be racist?

That's not opinion, that's geography. If Americans don't know that, it's an issue for their education system.

Ronny Chieng's argument is literally that he is Asian and, as Indians don't look like him, they can't be Asian.
How is that different from a Scandinavian person saying "Spanish, Italian and Greek people don't look like me, therefore they're not European"?
The fact is that Asia is enormous and ethnically diverse so it's peoples don't all look the same.
Americans have devised their own terminology for race.
It's hardly surprising when you consider that Louisiana once created eight different terms to reflect the degree of white/black mixture in a person's heritage.

For America, Asians are from whet we term Southeast Asia.
People form the Indian subcontinent are Indians.
The other Asians are either Arabs or Russians depending on their dress code.

Oven I haven't figured out where Hispanic begins and Latino ends.
And even Americans can't decide whether they're white or non-white.
Witness a load of obfuscation when attempting to cloud discussions of vote share, voter suppression and crime breakdown.

The Spectator weren't amused by Trevor Noah's skit.
And are extremely dishonest in explaining why.

Humourless righties.

I wouldn't dare, I've yet to receive instructions from American comedians on how I am to identify myself, maybe I'm not European after all? #geographyisracist

I'm aware of that.
My objections are that:
a) they think they have the right to instruct other races, and countries, on how to identify themselves and other people
b) that it's ok to mock other races
c) they think that the rest of the world must fall in line with their racism.

Patently clear Britain isn’t a racist country

There's stacks of evidence that racism is rife in Britain.
That link clearly shows Julie Hartley Brewer stating that Rishi Sunak IS Asian so I'm not sure how that evidences that she denied it?

I'd take Noah's claims more seriously if he was able to cite anyone beyond a few tweets and one arsehole ringing into LBC.

Then I'm at a loss to understand why you brought her up in a discussion about whether it is permissible for a British person of Indian heritage to self identify as Asian.

I'd take his views on racism more seriously if he dropped the Jim Davidsonesqe mocking of Indians.

Any poll taken two days after somebody has become party leader/prime minister without a proper leadership contest is always going to be meaningless. All the pool is really showing is that Sunak has made a better start than Truss which is not really saying a lot.

Sunak has to take the party with him and continue appear as moderate, this fine balancing act will be importable because he isn’t one.

Do you expect them all to be daft enough to ring into LBC?

A few minutes on the ConservativeHome comments will supply a good 10 to 15 examples.

What Trevor Noah also didn’t grasp is how colour doesn’t matter so much to the English when doffing their caps to a rich toff
