Yes, it does seem like Macron’s tactics have backfired here. Though still doesn’t excuse the hard(er) left throwing in with the far right in the usual hope of random shit somehow bringing about a peaceful hardcore socialist utopia this time, rather than letting in fascist arseholes as has happened every single other time.

I'm more supportive of Macron than some but I think the house are entitled to hold out for a better PM. Plus the Barnier budget would have been a gift to the RN, who are much more focussed on opposing cuts than our equivalents (of course they oppose taxes too, because that's what people like them do).

No doing a comedy song about a mass gang rape is not clever it's not satirical, it's not highlighting the situation. It's just awful. Here's what a KC has to say on this subject.
