Labour voters in that part of the world have understood tactical voting since the 90s. The coalition put them off doing so. ‘Vote Lib Dem get Miliband/Corbyn’ no longer plays with disgruntled Tories, either.

Ah right I was worried how the Corbynites would use this to bash Starmer.

Bastani is already belching out clouds of anti-Starmer guff based on the by-election. The only good thing about GE2019 is that I no longer have to pretend to care what the likes of Bastani etc have to say about anything anymore.

Check out the twats BTL here going after Centrist Kieth Fan Simon Wren-Lewis (one of McDonnell's wise men). Clare Hepworth, to be fair to her, acknowledges Wren-Lewis' point.

Here's Labour, very clearly opposing on a policy that the left should surely care about- corrupt rich people swiping away money from a country where there are lots of poor people. But per BTL, the reaction is blah blah, the Forde Report. Because something that might make Jez look better is the real issue.

He's good in the media. Assume he could make a good living from that.

I could see him destroying the likes of Hancock, Truss, Raab or Patel on Question Time.
Only to be roundly booed by a gammon wall audience.

Someone can't read between the fucking lines. It doesn't say "we're not going to build any affordable housing to appease Tory voter NIMBYs", it's just against Johnson's scrutiny-avoidance wheeze to bung housing estates wherever his mates fancy sticking them.

If that's the case, then say you'll set up a better national planning system. Don't invoke local communities having a veto, as that seems to. You'll get fuck all built.

YIMBYs like Elledge are in some cases just as bad as NIMBYs. There build some fucking houses mentality means they fall for anything that promises to build more houses regardless of who how affordable or suitable these houses are.

Both are an exaggeration as areas more accepting of development are seen as an easier touch so developers get greedier submitting ever bigger and more thoughtless proposals. We all know places where developments are done well as well as crap holes.

Anneliese Dodds seems to be enjoying her new job. Seems much sharper, like she's not worried about being attacked with "Labour's Tax Bombshell" all the time.
She's also, if I'm not mistaken, got an image consultant in. This is probably a good idea seeing she's not a "character" like "Boris".
