About a million people have said it before me, but there really is a difference between doing a shit job when you have reason to believe that it’s just for now and doing a shit job which you suspect will be but one of a number of shit jobs stretching away into forever.

Also, apparently no vegetarians are right wing. Which will be news to one A. Hitler.
Think that's a myth, he was light lean meat eater.
Many suburban Tory voters are vegetarian and value animal rights. That's why suburban Tory MPs stayed clear of fox hunts.

They should stop being poor.
Waive a few planning regulations for your friendly local jazzmag magnate.
The gratuities will come flowing in.

Could be many reasons for the aforementioned people’s poverty but anyone who thinks it’s because they’re white is a fucking moron.

“Poor” was more down to folk devils limiting every bit of their way of life.
Jenrick doesn’t actually care about people in poverty.

Entitlement born of laziness, or as I like to put it, being born with a pass to round 2. You'll never be top of the heap, but you'll have people to look down on.
And that's not lasting much longer.

Jenrick has been photographed running in London wearing a sweatshirt with the slogan 'Hamas are Terrorists.'

Is foxhunting even popular in rural constituencies? I knew a New Labour Spad at the time the Countryside Alliance was taking off. He grew up in rural Devon and didn't at all buy the idea that his erstwhile neighbours were liviid about foxhunting. Sir Bill Wiggin was a very prominent hunting supporter. Ellie Chowns got lots of direct switchers.

Spotted? I wish we could get rid of this pretence of spontaneity about any of this shit.

John Major managed to run for leader of the Conservative Party without donning an "Sinn Fein-IRA are terrorists" t shirt. Kind of good that he didn't.

Sky presenter trying very hard to get to the bottom of what Jenrick means by English identity. With little success, what a blathering light weight Jenrick is.

In the Peak District there is a small village called Flagg that was famous for holding a point to point horse racing event on Easter Tuesday. It was always popular with the hunting set but also used to draw in crowds from all over Derbyshire.
I can remember going there in 2011 when this bloke ranted on the public address system about how he wanted Cameron's new government to repeal the laws banning fox hunting. The rant got around of applause from a small minority of the crowd but the majority of people at the event just ignored him. He clearly didn't get his way and from what I can see the event doesn't appear to have taken place since 2011.
I think the hunt supporters are small in number but very vocal.

Rarely a suitable pursuit for arable rural areas, farmers would have a fit at packs of horses trampling their crops.

I've done many shit jobs over the years but only once have I been able to tell a boss to shove their shit job. I suspect that had the divine Ms B had the desire, she could have told Ronald McDonald where to stick his happy meal and not suffered.

They also tend to be rich, well-connected, and/or think that after all of those years of forelock-tugging, The Powers That Be owe them one.

Someone I went to school with worked at Burger King for a while, not sure why. The rest of us either didn't work or found something more salubrious. I worked in Circle K and at a plant nursery. There were summer jobs going at PCAS and Eagle Star Insurance. This was in the early 90s, when the economy wasn't great. Badenoch in the late 90s shouldn't have found it hard to find a better option.
