Sky News have started doing this. I don't normally pay much attention to the telly, but twice this week when I got to work around seven o'clock the Kay Burley show has had Pat McFadden and Rachel Reeves instead of the usual Tory twat of the day. I can only hope that other channels follow suit.

I think this is a huge unforced error by Sunak. Did he really think tv news would just have dead air? And did he not notice how huffily ignoring the media worked out for Jezza?

I am a busy man with big plans, who cannot afford to be at the mercy of the capricious and short term obsessed media.

He is a rude berk who doesn't understand how this stuff works.

I do get why the courts have green lit Braverman's Rwanda wheeze, the question being whether it is legal or not.

Fair enough, it is legal. Somewhat more long-windedly; no parliamentarian, ever since law became A Thing felt compelled to table a bill outlawing the forcible deportation of innocent people.

Yes, crims were deported in days of yore but that was booted off the statute in the Victorian era. For fuck's fucking sake, this is abhorrent.

It does make you wonder whether deporting criminals to some Guantanamo-like enclave in a country faraway might be on their agenda.

As said before, in their utopia nobody has rights, just privileges. And those have to be earned, inherited, or gifted.

Straight from the National Socialist playbook.

How has this country come to this?*

*Rhetorical question.

*Rhetorical question.
A few years ago I wondered how far along from 1933 a survivor from the Nazis would think we'd travelled if they looked at a Daily Mail headline. Now the same things are being said by the Home Secretary. I don't think it's hyperbolic now to wonder where it will end.

Wait - that's the official Home Office account, making comments on a political story from a political event.

That's not allowed. Breach of ministerial code and that.

Also- reads very much like the work of 55 Tufty.

Whatever happened to the neutral civil service*
