How does it enhance the national debate giving airtime to crackpots like Laurence Fox and Piers Corbyn?
It doesn’t, it simply fuels “the war on woke”
I can see an exodus of journalists that refuse to play along with this bollocks.

All part of the managed decline of the BBC of course.

I'm watching Channel 4 News on catch up
So far we've only had gleeful Prince Andrew - but the gleeful headlines were the same except Ocado & Next, I think. Insufficiently gleeful I expect.

20:16 'Cabinet ministers showing their support' 'Met won't investigate'. 'PM isolating, others speaking up for him', ie Mad Nadders. Cabinet support him.

Gripe of the day: Bullshit headlines.

Specifically:

"Downing Street has apologised to Buckingham Palace"

Dear Auntie Beeb:

Most of the adults in the room know that streets can't write or talk and buildings cannot read or listen.
Why not tell it like it is: Somebody close to the heart of government (find their name and use it) apologised to the Queen for acting the cunt.

A pedant writes: according to the BBC report, the apology wasn't made to the Queen. A member of Downing Street staff apologised to a member of Buckingham Palace staff.
What were the names of the staff involved anyway?

Meanwhile you have some more letters to write: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1VD ... =757&dpr=1

More disgraceful gleefulness from the BBC.

"What’s worse than listening to Boris Johnson trying to talk his way out of the ‘Partygate’ scandal?

To my mind, it’s listening to the BBC’s obsessive, gleeful campaign to weaponise the story in its long-running propaganda war against the Prime Minister.

I am not concerned with defending Mr Johnson here.

As Boris acknowledged in his apology in Parliament, many people will rightly feel ‘rage’ about the revelation that he attended a drinks party in the Downing Street garden during the 2020 lockdown when his Government was imposing punitive restrictions on the rest of us.

But whatever anybody thinks of Boris or his future, that is no excuse for the all-consuming, one-sided enmity with which our national broadcaster has pursued him.

In its reporting of this week’s drama, the BBC has once again confirmed its role as the Boris Bashing Corporation.

Which might seem unfortunate timing, given that the Government’s review of the future of the licence fee is taking place this month."

That's Laura Kuenssberg the filthy Commie traitor trying to destroy Boris and undermine Brexit, to you. How dare she imply that Sue Gray's totally free and impartial exoneration of Boris Johnson might not be independent!

"Remember, the report is official and Sue Gray's reputation is fearsome, but that's not the same as being an outsider. She is a senior government employee, not an independent arbiter. That's not to suggest that she will pull any punches, but it would be quite something if she were to suggest that Boris Johnson himself had directly broken the rules."

And Johnson's revenge.

"The days of state-run TV are over': Nadine Dorries clobbers the BBC with a £2billion funding cut as she freezes the licence fee for two years, with a row over 'Left-wing bias' threatening to spill out into all-out war with the Corporation
Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries freezes annual £159 fee for the next two years

Anticipated inflation rises mean BBC will need to find savings of circa £2billion
Tories continue to accuse state broadcaster of showing 'left-wing bias' in row
Ms Dorries' allies have warned the Corporation the 'days of state run TV are over' with plans for the licence fee to be replaced by a new funding model"

"The move comes after a series of rows with Ministers over the Corporation’s alleged Left-wing bias.

Senior Government figures were last week incensed by its coverage of Boris Johnson’s apology to MPs for the Downing Street lockdown party, complaining it ‘feels like the BBC isn’t going to stop until he’s gone’."

Much as I appreciate the sentiment, you can find every episode with a few clicks.

Yep, why should the BBC waste money buying the rights when they're all available, free of charge, on YouTube for anyone who wishes to watch them?
Currently the first episode has had 9,712 views over a four month period, which suggests demand might not be as high as Steve Everitt thinks it is.

Here's a link for anyone who fancies pushing those figures up.
