The BBC have 1.054 so far- I think they're going on seats announced, rather than councils, so very up to date.

Not many outstanding seats- Bedford and Arun (Sussex) and New Forest seem to have most of them. A few more the Tories could lose, I reckon about 1,060 total.

Typically cerebral take here.

Perhaps he could test the will of the people by running as an independent?

Just visited our local (Tory) MP’s website, seems to be a gap between urging people to vote on the 4th, and syncopathy over yesterday.
(Clue: local Con borough council went from very large majority to NOC, including leader of council loosing his seat)

It's a pity he didn't step down in 2010.

It's a pity he was born.

They’ve ran with that before and he confirmed he would stand.

He's such a stain on the concept of good governance, I'd prefer him being somewhere visible.
Preferably in leg irons and striped pyjamas.

My bet's he's off to Tufton Street where power's unaccountable, advisors are young and accessible and there's none of that grubby vote chasing.

He sees himself as last of the big beasts standing after the anticipated washout. Last of the Cameron generation and so on. Shoo-in for leadership, then off to elder statesman/Tufton Street without any of hat responsibility lark.

Given his (alleged) fondness for ‘substances’, it’s a wonder he’s ever able to stand at all…

Well, that's Brigden out of the HoC at the next GE then.

Loser Brigden and Looza Fox. Like Dumb and Dumber, but not funny.

Andrew Bridgen set to become Reclaim Party's first MP as he links up with Laurence Fox

Too nuts for Tice’s outfit. Farage managed to hold free market cowboys and the fuckloons together in UKIP but now they have separate parties.

Wonder if we seen any more defections, if you are moderate (yeah who is that then I assume the LDs have some spaces).

Or if you’ve lost already why not go to Reclaim? I suppose they might gamble on it being a Hung parliament.

Weirdly enough, the Belfast News Letter was hyping a hung Parliament with DUP kingmakers again as the next last best hope for the Union, so there's definitely company for that misery
