When I joined a NSFW sub on Reddit all I had to do was tap a tick box that said "I am over 18" and I was in. There's some stuff in there that even a broad-minded liberal 56 year-old like me doesn't want to see. It's frightening to think that literally anyone can get in to these subs just by clicking on a tick box, with no requirement to provide any sort of proof.

Right wing international conferences in the middle of nowhere used to be thing in East Anglia as it was handy for coach loads of boneheads from around Northern Europe to hop on the Harwich ferry.
