Eamonn Holmes, eh? He's broken up with his wife and is seeing a younger woman - well, she's 40-odd, and he's in his 60s. And that's about that. Not for Mystic Mandy though! While claiming that it's a love match and that she wishes them well, it's very clear that she considers the lady a hussy, a gold digger, and little better than a common whore.
The little we know of Katie is that she’s a ‘Person Centred Counsellor/therapist’ offering in-person, telephone and online therapy sessions at £45 for a 50-minute session.
Anyone familiar with the world of therapists will know that many charge more than £200-an-hour, and some of the top ones twice that, so without wishing to be uncharitable I’d suggest Katie’s at the more modest end of her profession.
In person. Sessions. Charges by the hour. Nudge. Wink. Pathetic.

Mandy's reading her prices off the "Boris Johnson IT lessons" list.

When my head went ping and I stopped functioning I looked into counselling. The people recommended by the Bedford branch of MIND were charging £30 for a 50-minute session, in person or over the phone. That was seven years ago, so £45 sounds about right, allowing for inflation and increased demand for counselling services.

Mrs Watch just happens to be a person centred psychotherapist, depending on circumstances her rates are £45 to £60 per 50 mins, and that is pretty similar amongst her peers.

Of course, Platell pays the I Saw You Coming You Gullible Media Twat surcharge.

Using Platell's warped logic Boris Johnson and Richard Littlejohn are the best journalists in Britain because they get paid more than all the other journalists.
Platell clearly thinks that everybody is driven by money. One of my nephews is a dentist, he used to live and work in London
and was very well paid. Whilst he enjoyed his work he didn't like London and he didn't like bringing up young children in London so two years ago he upped stick and moved to a small town in the far North East of Scotland. He doesn't earn as much as he used to but he has a lovely house which is three times bigger than the one he had in London. He only works 4 days a week and spends most Fridays on the beach playing with his kids. His partner also had a well paid job in London and she now works for a charity near where she lives. She obviously earns a lot less but she really enjoys the job she is doing and enjoys working less hours and spending more time with her kids.

Welcome to Berlin. My wage is comparable to Blighty in 2006 x our 2 earners, and we still live a better life after paying for health insurance and doing mad shit like buying boats.
These vituperative costs of merely existing are not mandatory.

Platell yet again tries to make light of bullying accusations.
The unknown – and unfunny – former comedian Robin Ince, now a Lefty TV presenter, accuses Ricky Gervais of bullying him when they were on tour together 20 years ago and says he came out in a red rash.
I know the feeling. Every time I see Ricky on stage I come all over red-faced after collapsing with laughter.
Bruised toe & ego
After the Strictly scandal triggered by actress Amanda Abbington claiming her dance partner Giovanni Pernice caused her a bruised toe and PTSD, the first episode of the show’s 20th anniversary special tanked, losing more than a million viewers.
Meanwhile, she has been performing to a half-empty north London theatre. As for Gio, he’s about to star before millions of viewers in Italy’s version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars. Maybe Amanda hasn’t just got a bruised toe – but a shattered ego.

Absolutely self-awareness free too that last bit. "Woman says something critical about someone more successful than her". Who does that remind me of?

Collection of mostly favourable reviews of Abbington's performance in, of all places the Daily Mail., whatever the intentions of the article.

Actually, is this where Platell got the idea for this article from?

Is Robin Ince a TV presenter? Know him from the radio show Infinite Monkey Cage discussing clever lefty science stuff.

He has done a lot of stand up but he has probably done bits of TV as well.

Two things strike me.
First, her habit of reducing everyone to what they're "worth". And related, her belief that nobody does anything for any reason other than publicity or profit.
Second, her main article. Back when she was a newspaper executive (so between 1993 and 1998), one of her staff came to her with the news that their sister - a Harrods employee - had been raped by the Phoney Pharaoh. And that's it. Just some guff about how she never forgot the moment and she's not surprised about recent events. But nowhere is there any hint that she did anything. One could easily conclude that she threw her colleague and their sister under the proverbial bus because she was not prepared to challenge Fayed.

Everything's about superficiality. Complain about someone and you're jealous of their success. If you're a woman then looking like you do, you should be grateful for the attention.

And the irony of course is that Amanda Abbington, and everyone else she writes about, is more successful than she is.

Platell has had a second stab at the Al Fayed story, and she seems to have failed again.
Diana was a pawn in Mohamed Al Fayed's twisted games. If the Establishment had acted on his depraved crimes, she'd be alive today
Platell's argument seems to be that if Princess Diana had known about Al Fayed's alleged crimes she would have never dated his son Dodi. She then goes on to undermine her own argument by claiming that Diana didn't love Dodi anyway and only went out with him to make a former lover jealous.
Platell has already admitted in a previous column that she knew about Al Fayed's behaviour in the 1990's when she was a newspaper executive but she did nothing about it other than help one of his victims to escape his clutches.

Amanda takes a look into her crystal ball again.
If only Harry had listened to Boris - and stayed here in Britain...
According to Amanda the couple were loved by millions before they flounced off to Canada.
When Harry met Megs, millions of us rejoiced. Our beloved prince was happy, he'd found 'The One' and we loved her. The couple's popularity soared in the brief time they were working royals.
Had they carried on, what a buttress they would have been. A mixed-race woman married to the Queen's grandson, both of them working for Crown and country – they could have shored up the monarchy, making it feel safer in our modern age.
As usual Platell is talking utter rot. It has been quite clear in recent years that William hates to be overshadowed by his younger brother so it is very unlikely that William would have just sat back and let Harry and Meghan get plum royal engagements and tours.
Amanda also has ago at Keir Starmer for helping his son when he was studying for his exams. She falsely claims that previous prime minsters didn't need to help their kids when they were studying for their exams. I'm pretty sure that Blair was criticised when he paid for a private tutor to help one of his sons. It is also unusual for elections to take place in early July so Starmer would have been extremely busy at the very point that his son was sitting his exams.
