I'd say my point still stands: if those individuals were making noises about Covid on social media I can't help but feel that the Venn diagram of "Covid" and "firearm" would indeed alert the security services, never mind buying a bloody Glock over the Internet.

The intimidators, sadly, are just that; intimidators. The most they can expect is a charge under a public order offence - I'd say it's a big stretch to refer to it as "terrorism", unless you're looking at a literal definition of the word. Dr McCoy was involved in a case several years back.

A surgeon had been suspended for bringing in his own tools to the job.
New stuff not on the approved list.
Turns out he was getting paid by the manufacturers to provide feedback.
