and me............and ready to storm the local town hall if the election is stolen!
Why did I suddenly get a mental image of Terry Thomas sneaking out the back of the church hall with a ballot-box under his arm?

In her part of the world, it'd more likely be Compo.

We had a bit of queue (due to social distancing, all efficient enough). We had the two elections (if you count the non-binding referendum on the local plan) explained to us. I would imagine having 4 elections explained might slow it down more. Surprised I haven't heard more about queues elsewhere.

No queues at our station, but constant stream of people. All very smooth.

Virtually deserted here, according to comrades out on the front line. I'm hoping that reflects more on the postal vote uptake than the engagement level of the local voters, but I wouldn't count on it.

Got to vote for our shiny new unitary authority today (North Northamptonshire), formed out of the breakup of our bankrupt county council. The thing is, being a safe Tory area, the same councillors that oversaw the county council are are shoe-in to be elected to the new UA. Anyway, apart from the Tories, Labour, and a single Lib Dem candidate, there was no one else to vote for. Not even any independents. I went Labour but it's a dead cert the Tories will get back in.

"Ding Dong" is Leslie Phillips.
Terry Thomas preferred "You're an absolute shower!"
Ding Dong!

Interesting article. Lib dems make big gains, so they interview....the local Labour leader. Hmm.

Jayda Fransen just got a grand total of 46 votes in Glasgow Southside, versus Sturgeon (19k) and Sarwar (10k).
You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh etc.
(And Sturgeon just referred to her as a "far right thug" in her acceptance speech. I wish some of our candidates on this side of the border would be that blunt.)
