Cleverly and Tugendhat so far.
Both quickly condemned by commentators on ConservativeHome.

You know what ConservativeHome commentators don't condemn.
* Burning vehicles and buildings.
* Lobbing bricks at the police.
* Attacking Mosques.
* Besmirching the memory of three murdered little girls.

In fact, has a senior Tory said anything at all?

I guess Priti Patel qualifies as a senior Tory.

Sunak has made a fairly standard statement condemning the riots. Being fair, I think he, along with Patel and Cleverly, thought themselves insulated from this by their wealth and status. Corporatism and cronyism care more about the colour of your bank statement than your skin.

What's becoming clear is that the mob don't care. They were fed the lies to keep them distracted, and are now acting on it. And it doesn't matter what school you went to, or if you're a 'nice' Hindu or Sikh, or if you came over fleeing Idi or your family laid down roots when the East India Company were riding high. You're a target.

They sowed the wind. Normal people are reaping the whirlwind. Fuck them.

Wonder what the reaction will be when one of Braverman or Badenoch’s family get a brick through the window and told to “ fuck off back to where you came from”.

I think we can be certain that Sunak, Patel, Cleverly and the other BAME Tories have personal experience of racism. Going to a public school is no shield from bigotry (public schools have cunts like Farage in them). Sunak and Patel's parents were Asian shopkeepers in the 1970s, they will have routinely experienced racism. Unfortunately the response of some victims of racism is to pull up the drawbridge and deflect the hatred onto the latest wave of migrants.

One thing I’m relieved to see is that even a fair few right wing commentators are correctly framing this as the epilogue of the Tory government(s) rather than chapter 1 of the Labour government.

The gift that keeps on giving, but in the sense of chickenpox/shingles.

Also, I can see Braverman being led up to a makeshift gallows still shouting “do you know who I am? Do you know what I tried to do? I’m one of you!” and she *still* wouldn’t get it. Patel and Sunak, I think, have finally had at least something of a chickens coming home to roost moment these last few days.

It seems to me that when an African-American gets through the door they hold it open for their successors. When a BAME Tory has gone through they always slam it firmly shut behind them.

Legacy of empire. Get the Sikhs to police the Hindus, get the Kenyan Asians to staff the bureaucracy and stonewall the Africans, get the various tribes all competing for attention. Divide and conquer.

Nah, just people lacking in empathy who see no reason for solidarity as long as it's someone else who's getting picked on.

They’ve been really poor and that Lord of the Gower (not David) is a lying scumbag.

As I stuck on twitter before the inflammatory language of the last 14 but dare I say even longer has come back to bite.

When you treat people fleeing conflict and violence as numbers and less than human as many media outlets have done you get this, the media has been incredibly compliant in this and they continue to be even the likes of Sopel seem to be playing the whataboutery rubbish.

If we see any fatalities that blood is on their hands as well.
