Yup, and they can't name what these differences in values are, or how they'll damage our society, which they then praise as wonderfully diverse and tolerant, but which is apparently under threat from these people, who will be settling into the most mixed and diverse areas, where the greatest risk lies, and not that they condone violence but...
Oh, and if you criticise it, you're the problem as you're stopping us from helping the real people in trouble. Whoever they are.
In short, we get you, you're racist, but that's such an ugly word. Stick a smart suit on it and it'll pass.
I've a theory that with the Brexit vote, for some politicians it was a glimpse of the country's true face, and they've been terrified of it ever since.

They don't need to. They know full well that their target audience is only too willng to fill in the blanks themselves, up to and including the timeless old classic "they're after our womenfolk".

Yes, it's more a case of won't. Mainly because they know a) their argument doesn't stand ay sort of intellectual scrutiny, being based in the emotive; and b) not many people like to think of themselves (or perhaps more accurately have others think of them) as bigoted.

I was going to park this under Jenrick or Braverman, but then I realised it applies to a fair chunk of them.

They’re in charge and they’re cunts? No, it’s a Remoaner civil service plot and Dan has a quote from a Labour minister who admitted he bullied civil servants 60 years ago. But they weren’t moaning wokes controlled by Brussels, back then.

Hannan writes almost daily at ConHome.
His content is growing more and more unhinged and off topic.
Even the "Boris till I die" comment leavers are starting to call his shit.
Stewart Lee on the government's general ineptitude. Caution, contains many references to shit.

Heard an anecdote about Jeffrey Archer meeting the Beatles. ‘Seemed a nice enough bloke but he’d bottle your piss and sell it back to you,’ Ringo noted.
Former Kipper, now Tory MP Craig Mackinlay is getting rather paranoid about new voter ID rules, saying that the local elections may be disrupted by organised left wing activists such as XR, Just Stop Oil, or young people.

On the editors floor they found...

A textbook example of "living rent-free in his head"

You realise the sort of voters they're hoping to attract.
I see your Reggie Perrin quote and raise you the speech from "Power In The Darkness by Tom Robinson:
"Today, institutions fundamental to the British system of Government are under attack
the public schools, the house of Lords, the Church of England, the holy institution of Marriage, even our magnificent police force are no longer safe from those who would undermine our society, and it's about time we said 'enough is enough' and saw a return to the traditional British values of discipline, obedience, morality and freedom.
What we want is:
Freedom from the reds and the blacks and the criminals
Prostitutes, pansies and punks
Football hooligans, juvenile delinquents
Lesbians and left wing scum
Freedom from the niggers and the Pakis and the unions
Freedom from the Gipsies and the Jews
Freedom from leftwing layabouts and liberals
Freedom from the likes of you"
