Ummm... has something got lost in the scripture here, chaps?

Surely it's Johnson being described as "a whiny twat"?

From the BBC (although, Kuenssberg)

Boris Johnson: Is 'Planet Boris' finally going to implode?

Some ministers loyal to Boris Johnson reject the notion that anything is serious or somehow in permanent decline.

It's true that the prime minister's career has been built on proudly dismissing, and dismantling norms. It's also true that he has slipped before, but surged back, time and again. He is the campaigner of his generation, they believe, and can recover.

But it is notable that MPs who were involved in getting Boris Johnson to No 10 say privately, and increasingly colourfully, that he has to sharpen up.

One of them told me that Downing Street has become "like a theme park of soft decision-making and avoidance".

The Tory war on the BBC steps up a pace, they now admit that their lies may be lies.

Two can play at that game.

It might not be true but it's certainly believable. People who write for the Telegraph suck dogs cocks on Friday evenings.

I'm pretty sure a hefty number of voters can't name a fucking thing about Tory politics other than Brexit and being mean to forrins, but can certainly describe Johnson's personality.

That's highly unlikely with "Lockjaw" Tominey.

Yikes. I'm genuinely struggling to recall when The Telegraph was ever a "paper of record", such is it's dramatic fall of grace.

AFAIK the only "newspaper of record" in the UK is The (London) Gazette.

Stepping into the Stratton shoes?

An alternative is "Team Boris" decamping as a unit, having found an even more gullible nation to plunder.

The rumour I heard is that she's aiming for Today. Which might make the government less likely to boycott it.

Wouldn't surprise me - it is by far *the* most important news programme on the BBC.

The story I heard was that the government wanted her removed so they could have someone more to their liking as Political Editor at the BBC.
What's Paul Dacre up to these days?

It wouldn't surprise me, given what he was saying about having other plans after being dumped from the running for the Ofcom job.

But little wingnuttery from this government or their cheerleaders would actually surprise me any more.

I often wonder what David Attenborough thinks in private, between having turned down the job in the past, and actually being respected for having run a BBC channel.
