They can’t do diplomacy because they are as thick as pig shit, of course it’s bullshit from Russia but you have to think Macron had his head in his hands after that Wallace shit,

All of course learnt at the very top, secondary stuff from Russia such as woke and liberation rights leaves others such as Dowden in a very awkward position.

Clever for Russia really, quote the Republican song book, but it’s not surprising this government is in the Mire with a war the only war or conflicts they were interested in where “culture wars”, now they have an enemy who is friends with their friends and is parroting what they have parroted.

The pound shop Thatcher speaks, backing up her boss. The big names've definitely been briefed about singing from the same hymn sheet:

WATCH: Liz Truss says ‘now is the time to end ludicrous debates’

Liz Truss suggested the UK’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine should mean pride in Britain’s values should make a comeback.

The foreign secretary, who is also equalities minister, told a Tory conference in Blackpool this weekend that “now is the time to end ludicrous debates”.

She said: “We have to be proud of our country and our long-standing commitment to freedom and democracy.

“Now is the time to end the culture of self-doubt, the constant self-questioning and introspection, the ludicrous debates about language, statues and pronouns.

“Our history, warts and all, is what makes us what we are today.

“We live in a great country, a great democracy and we should be proud of it.”

And let's never mention those warts.

Chocolate box Antiques Roadshow history, noble kings, beautiful princesses, and everyone throwing their hats in the air and shouting huzzah for being British.

Marina Hyde pointed out a while ago that Johnson has a history of this "stout yeomen wassailing and downing proud pints of ale" crap.

Why is Liz Truss already talking about dropping sanctions against Russia while Russian troops are still in the process of invading Ukraine. Britain was slow at imposing sanctions and now Truss is desperate to get the sanctions lifted as quickly as possible.

Sanctions contribute to unpopular cost of living increases, to a populist, the solution is obvious.

Classic case of "Price of everything, value of nothing".

She’s been on the media round today. She ‘s clearly been down the road trodden by Thatcher, whose voice coach taught her to speak slowly with a lowered voice, the better to project gravitas. Liiz has done well, but she hasn’t quite fully grasped it. Sometimes the pause between every word she speaks seems almost …..interminable. And there’ll always be the indelible memory of THAT speech about cheese….

I had cause to reflect upon the apple imports she mentions as I drove past a housing development this afternoon - the streets have apple names. When I first came here... it was an orchard.

I wish the "Turnip Taliban" had succeeded in blocking Truss for her affair with Mark Field. Doubtless some Brexit goon would have got the gig instead, but like MP, they'd probably been happy enough on the backbenches. Not like Truss.

Looks like plane's going to take off, though you'd think the decision taken by the ECHR on one case would seem to be applicable in every case. Could the court order the rest of them to be brought back immediately?

Sounds like there are only 3 left on the plane, and if that many go, it'll only be because the court hasn't heard their cases. Would that mean they'd have to be brought straight back?

Don’t doubt it. This looks very similar to the Mail’s editorial on Theresa May’s premiership.

Isn’t the Marxist concept of accelerationism about supporting hardline free market headbangers to speed up the decay of capitalism? I’m trying hard not be one and say ‘bring it on.’
