It is hilariously glorious to me that there are a bunch of people replying to this tweet who have no idea who David Aaronovitch is, and have thus decided that he’s a dangerous lefty radical.



Also, it’s a crazy plan but it might just work.

Why would a gun nut shoot at Trump? A 20 year old registered Republican apparently who’s been killed so we may never know. Perhaps he had Ukrainian roots and regards Trump as a traitor.
Or maybe Trump saw Bob Roberts, Tim Robbins’ satire in which a sinister hard right populist fakes his own assassination to get himself over the line in an election.

A right winger of a libertarian persuasion who sees Trump as a would be dictator makes sense as a political motivation. And has been watching Christopher Walken in the Deadzone.
