If I was the ‘Hotel inspector’ my first advice to Alex would be to keep your mouth shut on politics if you’re a boss in a service industry. Especially international relations if you have an international clientele.

The only reason I can think of for describing Irish cross-border trade as a problem and not wanting to encourage more of it is because the Tories fully intended to reinstate the hard border, call in the army, and turn the clock back to the 1970s.

Because the RNLI had been seen rescuing refugees in the channel...

DUP, Gove and a few others maybe. Most of the ERG think there’s a country called Southern Ireland full of happy farmers jigging with a pig under their arms. Brexiters did dedicate some of their massive brain power to Ireland and there were three camps; The good ol’ Paddies will back us against the Krauts, Frogs and Wops. Then there’s the traditional ‘we’ll show the Micks who’s boss’ if they step out of line (See Priti Patel). And down at Arkham Asylum is Farage and Hoey who predicted Ireland would rejoin the UK to grab a slice of the Brexit boom.

Worth grasping Irish politics even if not interested to illuminate the stupidity of the moron bottom feeders running this state.

My dad loved the sea and dabbled in boats throughout his life. He also was a comically terrible sailor which may explain his lifelong passion for the RNLI. Never missed his subs and no holiday was complete without a visit to the lifeboat station and have a chat in awe of their work. I was in tears when I read about this pondlife. Hope they never have to be rescued at sea and wouldn’t too sad if no one turned up.
