Is that where Rachel Meadows is based? Very bright but she don’t half go on to hammer home a point.

For a news channel outside of the Westminster bubble that has a different style of journalism the BBC World Service takes a lot of beating. I feel more informed.

Yeah, Maddow is there. The opinion shows do rather overcook it. Even the rolling news stuff is a bit biased, but it's not unpleasant, like a bunch of well-informed friends chatting.

Tory MPs used to talk about the World Service as a stick to beat the domestic BBC with, but I liked what I heard of it when I worked with a Nigerian guy who liked it.

We've never seen newshounds like this before. GB News does things that the liberal elite mainstream haven't even thought of. Like putting in a FOIA.

Boys, this isn't news any more than "today we went on Google to find out what you want to know". It's your job. The news comes from what the FOIA says or doesn't say.

Woodward and Bernstein must be thinking, if only it was that easy!

They've asked for a lot of stuff that will plausibly be covered under national security exemptions within the FOIA. They're either morons for asking, or playing up the idea they're being excluded by the elite conspiracy.

Either seems plausible, but sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice

Breath of fresh air latest. In which Nargle Fargle lies about Starmer never having been to a football match. In fairness, Paul Embery (representing Labour by the look of it) corrects him. The Fargle lies are tweeted out anyway.

Even if it was fake, it's about a billion times more realistic-looking than Johnson perched with his arse on a meeting room table.

Most stuff tinned ear Nigel says is wrong. What does he imagine football fans to be like; Gary Oldman as Bexy? Its not like stereotyping Farage as a bloke that plays golf because he is.

"We're going to Europe to do the Europeans".

Be fair to Nargle, Fever Pitch was only published in 1992.

So (ignoring the obvious and egregious inaccuracy) should two thirds of police officers be graduates or should each officer be ⅔ of a graduate - say a two year course in criminol?

If (as GBnews appears to advocate) Police should reflect society (Irrespective of ability - as long as they is white).

Should 3% of police be criminals?

Should 3% of police be criminals?

That’s more than covered. Don’t all recruits go to cop school? Call it Hendon University.

All part of the "too much university" trope.

More scores on doors. You can't argue with the market.

I don't write GB News off forever, far from it, but looks like they're heading for relaunch and "take a fresh look at GB News" territory.

Twitter poll as news. Aside from being ludicrous, did they recruit their budget team from Live TV?

I take it that was a poll of their viewers. Nobody I know watches GBeebies, and they all say they have no intention of ditching the masks on July 19th.

It has the feel of one of the old Daily Express polls, which were self-selected and from the readership, yet they still wrung headlines from then
