Love how he uses photos from a brochure. Very Partridge.

Looking at Lee's website. Among other things, he seems a good bet for "worst ever family historian".
My name is Lee Anderson and I am born and bred in Ashfield, I went to John Davies Primary School in Huthwaite and Ashfield School in Kirkby. My entire traceable family comes from Ashfield.

The word you're looking for is 'inbreeding'.

I was thinking more in terms of it not being particularly hard to trace back to 1841, and wondering if every ancestor really was already there in Ashfield. I would assume a fair few people moved there later from rural areas.

Most colliery towns are fairly rural so it’s a fair assumption the current natives were descended from 19th century migrants of the Industrial Revolution. They’re newcomers.

Two things occurred to me;
North Wales, they don’t exactly speak the Kings English there, and have certain views on some of those crossing the border; and
Lee, it’s Easter, shouldn’t a good Christian spend the weekend in religious contemplation

You also know that before long someone will mention his "boys" in passing and he'll squeal with outrage about how his family are being unfairly picked out, this is how the left behave, they're the real fascists, despite him using them when it suits him. See Rees Mogg for examples.

This is why he's best ignored.
He's the worst kind of wind-up merchant.
Chucking out the dogwhistles and ready to imagine offence at any response.

He's pretty much a living character that Viz would lampoon as a "classic" gammon.

Lee’s hit the canals this weekend promoting them as a great leisure resource. He can thank Barbara Castle who saved them from extinction due to previous Tory government neglect.

She was proper Old Labour, though. Not like the woke liberal elitists now.

According to the ONS the weekly median income is £640 so about £33k a year. So assuming 30p is telling the truth

then she is earning a little less than the median income. So he smugly states she doesn't use a foodbank, but what about approximately 40% of people earning less than her, or have children to look after? It's a nonsensical argument. (Not that this is a surprise).

There’s a much simpler explanation for why Katy doesn’t need a foodbank - after Lee’s clumsy-as-fuck tweet it was of course investigated, and she went to a 20k a year private school and has wealthy parents. She’s also of course not buying the place she rents, has no dependents, and is not raising a family in it.
(Definitely not the same person in the pics, btw. Similar, sure, but let’s not dip into that level of tinfoil hattery.)

Also note the 2 glasses of wine on the shelf behind. Looks like Katy and Lee didn’t do a lot of ‘work’ before coming up with this ham-fisted wheeze either.
