Zahawi refusing to publish his accounts before the conclusion of the leadership election seems to be on a par with Johnson dodging all serious TV interviews in the run up to the general election. Finding out key information about a leader after they have taken n the role of PM is too late. A number of the Tory candidates have serious questions to answer about their finances and the soon the scrutiny takes place the better.

Not quite sure what any of them offer other than:

A) barefaced hypocrisy about values after enabling Johnson
B) market fundamentalism
c) I'M NOT WOKE, NOT LIKE THOSE FUCKING COMMIES

No idea how the membership will choose between them all.

I've heard a comparison between choosing the next Tory leader and selecting a portaloo on day 3 at Glastonbury a few times. It does seem fitting.
