This particular shrug of the shoulders would seem less than sensible.
But entirely predictable.

She's a bad person by any metric. She deserves to be described as such.
She's a bad person irrespective of who her parents are.

"War on Afghanistan". They all look the same. And by the way, lots of people don't support selling arms to Saudi Arabia.

It's also interesting that people called Stop the War only consider it war if the West are involved.

Many, many years ago I believe one of our own esteemed members referred to them as "Stop Some Wars".
That stuck with me.

I think they've blown their moment, big time. You'd think it would be hard to fuck up "we said this war which has just failed would fail", but they somehow have.
But at the end of the day, they didn't have any power. Lots of people who have are the ones who failed.

Oh for the love of God
I reguarly watch an online reviewer called SF Debris and he is scathing about how the Prime Directive was applied on the The Next Generation and he cites a Season 1 episode and Season1 of TNG is considered mostly awful.

(As an aside, I remember watching S1 of ST:TNG when first transmitted and cringing through most of it.)

It's becoming the done thing to say that politicians shouldn't politicise political acts by other politicians.

Literally the reason a TV show becoming good is known as "Growing The Beard", the opposite of "Jumping The Shark".
(From Season2, Commander Riker has grown a beard. This coincided with a general increase in the overall quality of the show. Thus, you can generally tell if it's worth the 45 minutes if Johnathan Frakes' chin can't be seen. T'other references Happy Days, generally assumed to have begun it's slide into mediocrity after Fomzie performed said act)

Now do Theresa May.
How do you depoliticise soldiers killed in action?

I really recommend taking the time to read this incisive and precise analysis of the situation in Afghanistan by Tony Blair.
If nothing else, it serves as a reminder of what a brilliant political strategist and thinker we lost when he stepped down as PM. I'd take Blair as PM today in an instant.
