They think it means no more Tory governments.
Tory Governments being completely unknown in countries with PR.

They're getting desperate
Jeremy Corbyn's wife is part of a group set up to unseat Sir Keir Starmer at the next general election that is also discussing standing independent candidates against Labour in coming by-elections.
Screenshots leaked to Sky News show an account belonging to Laura Alvarez is a member of the Organise Corbyn Inspired Socialist Alliance (OCISA) Facebook group.
Further images show Ms Alvarez's account commenting in the group - including posting "disgusting creature" on a photo of Sir Keir.
The group was set up in February as a response to Mr Corbyn being barred from standing for Labour in his Islington North constituency and says it aims to stand a candidate against the "traitorous" Sir Keir in his north London seat at the next general election...

But how many of those Tory governments are as batshit as our current one?

They want electoral reform to ensure we never have another Tory majority government. Obviously, the best way of achieving this is to undermine the only Party who could give them what they want. The Lib Dems won't win enough seats to form a majority. The Tories aren't going to go anywhere near electoral reform while they can gain parliamentary majorities on a minority of the votes cast. This leaves Labour as the only credible alternative.
Yep. The best way to get what they want is to do the Tories' work for them and keep Labour out of power.
They are fucking stupid.

Another claim that I find eye rolling is that with PR we'll never have chancers like Boris come to power as your friend Richard Murphy claimed
Of course countries with PR have never elected dodgy leaders.

Italy. Spain’s Tories are pretty bad too, and won’t be improved by Vox.

This is the weakest rumour-mill horseshit I’ve ever seen - the completely unidentified, barely mentioned ‘source’ could be literally anyone and absolutely zero evidence outside of people not answering “are you still beating your wife?” questions from a nonentity. It’s so poor, you can more or less feel the exasperation from the admin staff at the police having to swat away yet another request for information that simply doesn’t exist.
Surprised they’ve not offered Boris a column. His vindictive bollocks will fit right in.

No matter how comprehensive the demolition of a claim, it can always be dragged out a little further. Either mutter darkly about there being questions that still need to be answered, say something about "to my satisfaction", call everything "deepfakes", or witter on about false flags and dead cats.

Skwawkbox’s questions to Durham police go unanswered
That’s what UFOlogists write to big up local sightings. Such horseshit even the Mail hasn’t run it.

Blame Lefty Durham police and the 'based' [sic] BBC, it works for the Tories.
Oh, and Sue Gray of course.

Huge if true. The latest revelation from the Zionist neoliberal Glasto conspiracy that’s banned the Jezza film ‘My struggle with Jews.’ Or something like that. Mason called out the film’s conspiratorial and anti-Semitic nature so he must be in league with them.

... destroy Jeremy Corbyn from fear he'd win...
Win what? The man is such a loser he'd come second in an All-Time Loser competition. The only thing his continued occupation of the Big Chair was likely to win was the total destruction of the Labour Party.
Corbynites are totally fucking deranged.

Not that it applies in this case, as Paul Mason clearly isn't one, but I wonder if it's a crime to 'out' an MI6 officer?

We know the script, don’t we? A rationally re-considered decision by the organisers of the UK’s biggest music and cultural festival not after all to show a fillum about a stab-in-the-back conspiracy full of anti-semitic tropes and slurs (and with a title referencing the notorious philosophy of the Nazi propaganda chief Josef Goebbels) suddenly means the fillum is BANNED, and the decision not to show the fillum now, ludicrously, part of the conspiracy itself. It’s not BANNED, it’s just fucking offensive shite.
Calling it desperate paranoia doesn’t quite cover it.

Is that what festivals are all about?
I have never actually been to one, but I thought that standard-form is to take a shitload of drugs, watch bands your parents liked (possibly Pulp and Leo Sayer), have sex with a stranger, and contract cholera from the bogs.
With or without Goebbels, I'm still not sold, to be honest.

They have this left field tent which seems to be mostly Billy Bragg this year, Miliband and Rosenna Ali are in attendance at two of the debates.
I’ve never actually found it and never really wanted to find it. As I said I’m surprised to see this film escape the very careful “no offence” Glastonbury approach.
