Snide fucker (permanently "doing R&D for my patents") on another forum I read said of this:

Having just been burnt myself by a production company, it'd be fuck-all anyway.
Off topic, but worth knowing that the biggest form of theft in the UK is wage theft.
By whom?
Employers of staff or contractors, who are either not paid, not paid in full, subject to illegal deductions, or crimped by dodgy reorganisations.

127,000 deaths are not convincing enough for some people

CCTV images of a man suspected of spraying anti-Covid graffiti at vaccination centres in Bournemouth have been issued by police.

I sometimes wonder if the people who, having had no direct experience of the disease, are the ones doing this? The only person I can think of in my extended family who's had it is my brother's brother in law.

One thing I am having difficulty dealing with is my sister calling me a fearmonger for working for the BBC. I've not said that if it weren't for her colleagues' incompetence in not spotting or considering sepsis sooner, I might not be a widower.

Or those that had it mild. To be fair I’ve not had it seriously though my brother was bad for a while yet I still see the massive importance of social distancing.

God help us if a new variant takes hold that is mostly immune to the vaccine.

Was talking to a friend who is a nurse in Manchester over the weekend. She says the NHS are preparing for another winter spike. Vaccine seems to work on the variants which is good, but the NHS is still very vulnerable to emergencies and has little fallback capability.

I’m avoiding large gatherings this summer. Especially ones with Van Morrison’s latest fan base.

Had my second vaccine and was entertained by a conjuring trick. Asked about some blue card I’ve no knowledge of, the nurse says check your wallet. Hey presto. Someone I knew on the way out also found the card he remembers fuck all about in his wallet.

The one that said what vaccine, from what batch it was and when you had it card?

I thought Van wasn’t going play any festivals that had restrictions?

By proclaiming it the safest festival I assume there must be some, I’m going have to skip the Manics in July, simply not doing it without the second vaccine, I might try and sell my ticket though all funds do go to the NHS so I’m slightly tempered by that.

Vietnam detects hybrid of Indian and UK COVID-19 variants

Only the Guardian out of the UK press sites appear to be running with this presently. This time in a fortnight though, everyone will have heard of the Vietnam variant.

No, they need Boiler's "Cricket Bat Rhinoplasty" ™.

As an aside; I noted a Trump supporter elsewhere crowing about the renewed idea that Covid escaped from a lab in Wuhan - "Trump WAS right, but you Libs all said it was racist and wrong!" followed by "The cartoonish evil little mouse that is Dr F-OUCH-ee has been claiming for a year that his organization (National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases) wasn't funding GOF research in China. Follow the money. Fauci is right up there with Frankenstein, Kevorkian and Mengela."

He's also a Covid-denier.

Trump could have launched an investigation like Biden, but he would rather just assume his own ideas are correct.

Anyhow in other batshit Covid news, COMEBAL have taken the Copa America off Argentina due to Covid issues and granted to errr Brazil.

Citing Bolosarno and claiming it the Safest football event it’s evidently Bolosarno has spent a lot of money on “bringing football home” and how unpatriotic would it be to campaign against this.

Bolosarno currently trails Lula in the polls by about 25%

Could you imagine throwing a disposable face mask away and it actually helping the environment?

Now you can, because two companies have created face masks that are not only biodegradable, they even grow flowers!
