Putin - with all his judo and bare-chested horse riding - must be fuming at this. *actual* steel vs photoshoot nonsense.

Zelenskiy has told the west to send him ammunition, not evacuation.
What a leader. And a mad bastard. The pork haystack would probably be cowering 20 metres below Chequers whilst assuring us our counter-offensives were "world beating".
But Johnson would love the uniform cosplay - it'd make a change from hi-viz and hard hat. Something different from the costume shop that Mr. Benn visits.

China has abstained at the UN over the Russian invasion. Heard a wise pundit predict this but I’ve heard so many talking heads I can’t recall who it was. China’s economic ties with Russia are puny compared to the EU, was the thrust of the argument.
Another voice argued the reason Putin hasn’t reigned down hell on Kiev is not because of plucky resistance but because he hasn’t sold this war to own people.

China is looking to expand trade with Russia, and is also very interested in the West's response to the invasion. They're not going to drop their claim on Taiwan any time soon.

Might be that he's getting harder pushback internationally than expected. The response has plenty of self-interested holes in it, but if you're surrounded by yes-men, it could still be a shock.

If foreign troops crossing your borders, shooting as they come, isn't an invasion, I'd like to know what the fuck is

I Googled her last night as she was on
Any Questions. It's
here if you want to listen to it. Also has Chris Bryant, Liam Fox and Bronwen Maddox.
"Twat" would seem a mild epithet for views by others on her. "Inane" is one description I've seen.
Apparently she wrote a piece for
Spiked! last December saying that Russia doesn't want a war with Ukraine.
There's also this, for which I apologise in advance.

Bottomless fucking depravity, indeed. I have just watched hi being interviewed on Sky News, warplane in the background - quick ruffle of the locks that Head & Shoulders forgot , and the toxicity is in full flow.
"First to offer support to UA. Long and proud tradition of welcoming refugees. Working round the clock to lead the global response. Check's in the post. Won't come in your mouth."
"Bottomless fucking depravity". I can't top that.
