Well, I'm glad we've made it much harder for senior members of the government to have a night out at a concert with their kids. This will massively improve governance overnight.

All because of some bollocks narrative trying to equate this with Bozo getting the BBC Chairman to arrange loans for him.

Sure, you don't have to watch the film. I haven't watched it. But don't get all pious about how busy you are while you're repeating Elon Musk conspiracy theories. The film was commissioned before Southport, not based on it and race swapped. She wasn't too busy to piss about on the fringes of the internet.

Appalling even by Kemi's tin ear standards. The programme itself will look familiar to domestic audiences (message driven social realism in docu drama style) but good to see the drama catching on in many countries.
The racist botfarm pile on is for taking a swipe at Andrew Tate.

What's this rule that she can't take an interest in issues that aren't Islamic extremism anyway? There are bigger issues than the lots of things she bangs on about, but that's never stopped her.

Sam Freedman, who presumably has some decent Tory contacts, reckons that the party have basically given up on her.

I've looked at the article. You won't believe what the free speech test case she's latched on to is.
KEMI Badenoch backed Donald Trump yesterday as she declared that free speech in the UK is “at risk”.

The Tory chief warned that cops should not be “persecuting people for expressing themselves” after the US State Department slammed the case of British woman Livia Tossici-Bolt, who allegedly breached a buffer zone around an abortion clinic.
There you go. Somebody harassing women having abortions. Kemi might as well move to Alabama now.

The whole right-wing “free speech under attack” nonsense is interesting, but it isn’t really anything new, other than the way it has been latched onto by the Trump/Vance/Musk axis, with Badenoch seemingly tagging along on their metaphorical coat-tails. For decades now, the likes of Farage, Tice, Anderson, and sundry other wankers on the right have been whingeing about how “you aren’t allowed to talk about” oh, immigration, for instance, while more or less constantly banging on about virtually nothing else.

The reality is that the concept of freedom of speech has been very well defined, and accepted, in the UK since John Stuart Mill propounded the idea about 150 years ago, and before Mill by many others.

It is widely recognised that the concept of freedom of speech does not extend to the right to shout fire in a crowded theatre, or to deploy a more modern metaphor, to speculate incitefully on social media about the racial origins or immigration status of a murderer of children.

I think that Badenoch has put her shirt on the wrong horse, here.

You can always find examples where somebody has been treated unfairly, with academic speech just like anything else. But you pick your examples.

Somebody (at best) putting themselves outside an abortion clinic is pretty high on the list of ones that a British politician shouldn't pick. Apparently, she bravely abstained on the issue in Government (it was a free vote).

I don't think she'd like Alabama.
