A good sign of how he never gets questioned on the politically difficult stuff. He can be fairly disciplined where he has to, but not here. What's the policy here? Recording all teachers? Sacking them for talking about the news? Even at my school, there were (excellent) teachers who very openly hated Farage type politics. Sack for them if some kid with Kipper parents grasses them up?

Despite what the Kipper press says, parents generally don't hate their kids' teachers, and grandparents are proud when their grand kids go to university. Talking like this ought to be a massive liability for Farage.

Be it at the factory, or in a city firm, they would have a job. And following that, an income, a mortgage, a home of their own. They might not be good at that job, but it didn't matter - the hardest hurdle is getting the job.

What they remember from school is a spattering of trivia, respect for the teachers who were hard enough to make an impression, and disdain for anyone who wasn't in their clique.
I think that's what Farage is leaning into, but is it really that popular? My guess is that if he were put on the spot, it wouldn't be particularly positive outside of the 14% or so who voted for Farage in 2015 and 2025. Beyond that, I think there are a lot of people who might vote for them in Runcorn and South Wales who want more well paid local manufacturing jobs for men, but see that things have moved on in terms of Education and the sort of jobs they expect young people in their family to do.

I only wish Farage got pressed on this stuff. Not least because far more of what he calls "university" is actually vocational, and hard for him to object to, so you'd think. Though ironically it would be far more likely for Reform's damaging trade policies or immigration policies to come up in a business lecture than a gender studies lecture.

Wasn’t there some loon on here once who implied we were all being watched and would have our faces stomped on for being socialists?

I mean the fake doctor had his issues but at least he never made it a point to say he was planning to tread on me!

IIRC a rather combative tankie calling themselves "Baht 'at" (as in "On Ilkley Moor...").

There have been cases of the likes of Tim "Zelo Street" Fenton getting late night door knocks from Tommeh and friends asking for a polite chat/curbstomping. So it does happen, but odds are it's best to ignore.
