Badenoch's media mates responded to Vance's speech as if it were a serious argument telling hard truths to Britain. Not a piece of crap that could have been drafted by Putin.

Farage wanted the Musk money but if he doesn't get it, he might well move away a bit from Putin, and leave Kemi and co stranded.

In a week of pretty seismic words, likely to be followed by seismic events, what's Kemi going for? From The Telegraph.
Badenoch urges Britons to ‘fight for’ free speech
Tory leader says freedom of expression ‘under threat’ because state has ‘over-reached’ in its policing of people’s opinions
Utter lightweight.

Badenoch criticised what she perceived as lack of defence spending by the current government as “weak”, described “pronouns or DEI or climate activism” as examples of what she called “the real poison of left-wing progressivism”, and also claimed that minds were being poisoned in higher education establishments.
The real poison.

What was defence spending under her party? Was less important than pre election tax cuts, I recall.

Browsing Badenoch's output of the last 10 days, I conclude the Tories are utterly fucked.

If my memory serves me (and it often doesn't).
She got the leadership because:
* Cleverley couldn't count.
* Badencoch looked sane compared to Generic Bob - the guy who cancelled Mickey Mouse.

She's now flipped to her "Madder than Honest Bob" setting.
Failing at every PMQ, and spouting mad MAGA shit.

Should she get removed, there's little option beyond Jenrick.

Good assessment. Going on past Tory performance, Badenoch’s leadership might most closely resemble that of the utterly execrable Iain Duncan-Smith, whose excruciatingly piss-poor spell as leader(“the Quiet Man is TURNING UP THE VOLUME”) was ended abruptly by Tory moguls (IDS having been unreliably chosen, like Badenoch & Truss, by the swivel-eyed Tory rank & file) in favour of the stolid, not totally bonkers Michael Howard.

I can envisage something similar happening soon, though I’m not sure just who the Michael Howard de nos jours might be (Cleverly?) .
