We're fortunate Spaffer isn't still the top boss.

We'd have Joey "joey" Barton on MOTD.
And Russell "SA" Brand collecting the keys to Lambeth Palace

So Ben Habib has quit on account of Farage being a lying cunt and Andrea Jenkyns has joined.

It's a game of musical cunts*

Part of me wants to hand Farage and his clown school the keys to No 10 and let the country wallow in his shit. Don't think I can stand another five years of his ubiquitous unchallenged media profile. With a new generation of dimwits pledging themselves to good old Nigel.

Reform are doing well at the moment because the government is unpopular as a result of the budget and the Tories are all over the place. Farage and Co. have been very good at convincing the public that they have got nothing to do with the state of the economy because they have never been in government, yet it is pretty clear that Brexit is responsible for the state of the economy and the rise in immigration.

When people point out that Brexit is responsible of the poor state of the economy Farage and Reform just claim that Brexit would have been a success if they had been in charge of implementing it.

Reform seem to be deliberately avoiding getting involved in local government politics because they know that the public would quickly see how useless they are if they gained control of a council.

Apparently, Elon Musk is going to give Farage $100 million dollars.

The right wing tabloids are all collectively moistening their gussets at this prospect (see link to Daily Express), as they apparently think it means that Farage could become the next Prime Minister, perhaps even at the next general election.

I don’t think that is any kind of realistic possibility. Starmer’s government might have had a bit of a shaky start, but by 2029 it should be well into its stride, and the fruits of our re-building of our economy and society should be being felt, and understood, by most electors. The Tories aren’t dead yet - despite the best efforts of Bad Enoch - and we write them off at our peril. I also think that Reform, and Farage, surely have a credibility problem. $100 million from Musky or not, surely most humans with half a brain will see through their lies?

I can’t see it. What does the team think?

I know it’s picking pollsters but I’ll stick with Opinium

I don't think that Musk quite understands how British politics works. In a system where you elect a president, giving $100 million might help an individual to win the election. In a system where the Prime Minister is the leader of the biggest Party in parliament, giving $100 million to the leader of parliament's smallest minority Party won't do much more than arouse the interest of HMRC. Yes, the money could be used for a massive advertising campaign but, as Abers has mentioned, most thinking people have already seen through frog-face's lies and wouldn't vote for him or his Party if he paid them. Musk is also assuming that frog-face won't take a large chunk of that money for himself which, going by his past performance, is highly likely. Well, a man's gotta have a decent wage, you know.

Once Labour's policies start working* and Britain starts getting back on its' feet the gurning frog-faced fascist cunt will lose a lot of his appeal, even among the most backward of knuckle-draggers.

*Contrary to the belief of Trots, and the lies of the right-wing press, change doesn't happen overnight. It's early days yet, we're still feeling the effects of 14 years of Tory cuntery

There are, but there are loopholes relating to donations from UK companies vs overseas ones. I think even if not used on advertising the concern is it would funnel huge amounts of cash to them they otherwise wouldn’t have.

The other thing that strikes me about this is the rank hypocrisy of Musk and other Republicans whom, you will recall, were condemning a few Labour staffers who had crossed the pond to help with Kamala Harris’s campaign as foreigners attempting to influence a US election, now erm, attempting to influence a UK election with massive bags of cash.

They don't care. They never have. They simply buy their way to victory.

The fact that a party like Reform, sold as 'the people's party' etc etc NEEDS a massive cash injection from a billionaire foreign oligarch, and it's CLEARLY elitist, meddling and manipulative, is... the point. They're fully Trumpian, they don't give a fuck.
