XR is different. It's disruption and protest about an actual thing, irrespective of whether you like it or not (and a very serious thing at that). This toss is all about idiots playing grown ups and getting pissy at being told they aren't God.

It shouldn't need to be pointed out on here, of all places, the vast difference between XR and the Covid-denying, Stella-fuelled, Farage-fellating cabbages.

Some over-enthusiastic twat bestriding a tube train two years ago does not define the movement and, whilst that might have caused some mild inconvenience, continual harping on about it is on a par with "but, the King's horse!" one hundred years earlier. It is an irrelevance in the grand scheme of things and I personally applaud these youngsters for doing whatever they can to keep the climate on the news agenda.

Without them, we are saddled with the likes of this week's non-conversation. Yesterday, we were all supposed to be fretting about frying in our beds. Today, it's a fucking llama.

'How dare you say I can't eat a sausage roll every single hour if I want to, THIS IS WORSE THAN NAZI GERMANY', outside an open Greggs serving sausage rolls.
The Nazis knew, only too well, that banning sausages would be a step too far. Fat Al and co. would do well to understand that murderous dictatorships need to, y'know, calibrate.

And it was a shame I only nearly ran into them, as I was on a bus.
Barracking a boozer for wanting to introduce vaccine passports.
The irony is, the pub in question, The Murderers (yes, honestly) is probably the most popular pub in Norwich full stop. Certainly I spent a lot of my student life in there.

Imperial phase Britpop on the jukebox, a pint of snakebite and black, and all the cashew nuts from the little dispenser on the bar that you could carry. Marvellous.

Hopefully, we all have a few milestone pubs like that in our lives. The cashews were beyond measure and the sex afterwards was mercifully brief.

Mine were The Saracen's Head in Dunstabubble and then The Ship in Wardour Street, shamefully followed by Malaria in Hamburg.

That last one was a real shocker. The owner was inseparable from a perennially-bored boa constrictor which he draped about his person like a reptilian Shirley Bassey tribute act.

These days, I just pine for the Lismore in Dumbarton Road or the QPC on Glasgow's south side. The shagging isn't mandatory but the Guinness is first class.

Another bandwagon he can leap on.
That is the thing he was known for before all this: IIRC his theory is that it's all down to the Sun. If you go to the mess that is his website it's all there.

Am expecting some of the "civul liberteez & fweedumbs!" Peter Pan Syndrome sufferers in my group chat to encourage this, they've already registered their disgust at how complacently we're all allowing a 2 tier society to be created.

They don't get as impassioned as when Priti VaCunt practices actual authoritarian maneuvers though

You've got to love the weatheraction website. It looks like it has been designed by a 10 year old who received a 'D' for a 'my first website' assignment.

Just took a look. My word, is there anything he doesn't buy into? He's even got a chat with Sargon of Akkad (he of "dank memes" fame). And for fuck's sake, can he not embed links? You know, that thing you can do in Word?

A summary there. He's an absolute fucking fruitloop that somehow has 2 degrees in astrophysics. Too much LSD in the 70s perhaps?

Wasn't aware what a moron Matt Le Tissier was until now. As it happens those figures are accurate, in a sense. That's what they reduce the chance of Covid by given the prevalence of the disease (even at the height of it, the big majority didn't have Covid). But the figures that are quoted (usually over 90%) are what count- the difference made compared to an vaccinated person exposed to the same amount of Covid as an unvaccinated one.

He follows it up with genius like this.
