Reminds me of when, a few years back, the Express had the headline "Brit wins Tour de France!" (this was in the pre-Wiggins and Froome days when British cycling wasn't exactly setting the world on fire). The article explained that what had actually happened was Mark Cavendish had won the final sprint on the last day.

There is a "good news" story behind that absurd tuna headline.

In brief (something I struggle with).
1. Tuna were considered near extinct in British waters.
2. A 10 year "catch, tag and release" programme involving sea anglers showed their return to viable levels.
3. There's now a 43 tonne annual quota for 10 line fishing boats.

There's likely an unwritten subtext that trawlermen could have tracked the revival through their "throw away".
That involves a very complex critique of modern industrial fishing and the EU's approach to regulation.
