Once again the PC Brigade has abjectly failed to ban Christmas so we are treated to the first sighting of a festive tradition - the rip off Winter Wonderland story.

A poor start to the season. I look forward to the first sighting of one in a pub car park, replete with Santa smoking a roll up and a dog with deely boppers replacing the reindeer.

Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is slammed for its 'rip-off' prices - including £8 for candyfloss and £7 for a potato on a STICK

What do you expect for seven quid? The moon on a stick... sorry STICK?

I'd rather have a bag of chips (£2 at my local kebab shop).
I think that these things cost about 3€ a pop, even in Bavaria, the land of unbridled wealth.

Yes, they are more than acceptable when rolled in heart-stopping amounts of salt but it is not physically possible to munch one down while nursing a beer.

That a "no" from me. Having developed a weird aversion to pork (I stink of it for hours afterwards), a game or lamb-based sausage will hit the spot.
